Earthquaker Devices Data Corrupter is an analog PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) harmonizer with an adjustable modulation. It amplifies the incoming signal to a square wave fuzz, which is then multiplied, divided and modulated. The end result you get is a three-voice guitar synthesizer.
- Pedal sections:
Master Oscillator: Master Oscillator takes the signal in with a voice selected with Root control. Options are: Unison, -1 octave and -2 octaves. The eight-position rotation control allows you to choose the harmony for the original note.
Frequency Modulator: This section has two modes: glide anb vibrato. In Glide mode you glide from one note to the next and the glide speed is controlled with Rate control. In vibrato mode the pitch is modulated and modulation speed is controlled by Rate.
Subharmonic: Subharmonic creates a lower octave for the root note and divides it into eight intervals. You can choose the interval with the eight-position rotation control.
Voice Mixer: Oscillator, Subharmonix section and fuzz all have their own volume controls which allow you to set their balances to your liking in the Voice Mixer section. Level control is a master volume for the whole pedal. - Power Requirements: 2.1 mm 9V DC centre negative power supply. 25 mA.
