Electro-Harmonix Mel9 gives you Mellotron-style tape-based organ sounds. Before syntesizers like we know them today sounds were installed in tape loops inside keyboards, which made the keyboard sound like a cello or flute, for example.
- Controls:
Dry Vol: Sets volume level for dry signal.
Effect Vol: Sets volume level for effected signal.
Attack: Sets how quickly the effect becomes audible after you start playing. You can also create volume swells with slow and steady attack.
Sustain: Controls how long the sound sustains after you stop playing.
Preset Selector: Chooses the active sound. Options are:
Orchestra: Full classical orchestra.
Cello: Cello sound with natural vibrato.
Strings: Four-piece string orchestra.
Flutes: Classic flute sound heard on many recordings, for example "Strawberry Fields Forever".
Clarinet: Clarinet sound.
Saxophone: Saxophone sound which works great with overdriven guitar sound.
Brass: Trumpet sound.
Low Choir: Low-voiced choir.
