ZVex Woolly Mammoth Vexter gives you the brutal bass fuzz sound made famous by Muse and The White Stripes. This is the more affordable Vexter-series version of Woolly Mammoth which uses the same exact components as the more expensive hand-painted version. Designed for bass but sounds awesome with a guitar as well.
- Controls:
Output: Sets output volume level.
EQ: The tone control of the pedal. Sound gets darker towards 7 o'clock and brighter towards 5 o'clock. Woolly Mammoth has a nice amount of mids so you will always be able to cut through the band mix.
Pinch: Sets the waveform pulse width. At about 7 o'clock the waveform is symmetric and the sound is soft and creamy. Towards 5 o'clock the sound gets more gated and the waveform turns to asymmetrical pulses, more synth-like. Pauses between the notes you play will be completely silent close to 5 o'clock.
Wool: Sets the amount of fuzz, or "hair". More fuzz towards 5 o'clock. There is a fair amount of distortion even at the lowest gain levels. If you are looking for a mild bass fuzz, look elsewhere. - Power Requirements: 2,1mm 9V DC centre negative power supply or 9V battery. Power consumption 0,5 mA.
